Funny you should mention him, he's turned up in a few articles I've read recently so he may well have been nestling in my subsonscious at the time, who knows?

Is that street photography or cliff-top photography?

Streets and cliff tops....both good for photography but one is better than the other for parking cars on

Precisely...

I've got to do a presentation to the rest of the class on him this week so I'm seeing his work everywhere at the moment!

I'll be interested to see what turns your work might take if Bob Carlos Clarke gets nestled in your subconscious

Well I read Helmut Newton's autobiography recently but I suspect few opportunities will present themselves in that area

Tanya... an interesting & intriguing image you've posted there (Watching me, watching you, watching them) but it's got me a bit confused... how, what, why?... or should I just take it as it comes?

lol take it as it comes Tim
Glad you find it intriguing, don't know if I should tell all or not?

Alan you certainly had the stage there

I very often look for a humerous element when I view SP, to my mind that's what it's all about but as this image proves it's also about being patient and down right clever

It's a difficult one for me to judge this month, but then it's not me doing the judging! Street/Candid isn't really my thing either but here's the shortlist of the ones I really like...

5am and Hungry - slartibartfast
Ha Noi, Vietnam street scene - hedgehog
Really? - Mr_geoff
Just a light shower - ukgooner
Watching - Ian_A
Man in a hat - mertonia
Market Street, Edinburgh - AlanW

...but best of luck to all entrants

I was wondering if one of the administrators could help me by fixing up the URL for my image... some how I sort of stuffed it up!!!

The URL should be as follows:

http://www.digipics.info/photos/AP_Pics/Girls_1C.jpg

Thanks in advance

I like these (in order of liking), did not know who should I put as the first, Ian_A or AlanW, but then I have decided for Ian_A, although I'm still not sure if I made the right decision, so the first two are...

Ian_A - Watching

AlanW - Market Street, Edinburgh

...third place onwards...

robc - The Golden Child

TheFatControlleR - Gesticulate, Lose the Arguement...

daft_biker - Pleasure Express

...and then in no particular order

Dorset_Rob - I wish...
Monobod - Morris Dancing
crymble - Dancing in the street
Hedgehog - Ha Noi, Vietnam street scene...
Matt_Hunt - The Wedding Party
aec - Does she fancy him ....???
David Steel - The Briefing
datawise - Mmmmmm, nice!

Further, longer, higher, younger...

I'm a fan of Davids 'the briefing' and AlanW's 'Market Street'

I also love robc's 'The Golden Child' but I'm not sure it is falls under Street/Candid, it's more what I would call 'travel ' possibly - It's the sort of shot I would expect to see in National Geographic.

I'm with you on this, 'The Golden Child' is probably the best photo submitted overall but didn't make my shortlist because it doesn't fit my personal idea of street/candid.

Oh, you both have layers. Oh. You know, not everybody like onions.

PS Love the layers in the shot though
