Rollei Service
      #414208 - 21/12/2006 10:28

Can anyone help please? I've discovered my dad's old Rolleflex, a 1960's model with f2.8 80mm planar lens. It looks pretty clean on the outside to me, but it's been inactive for years and the viewfinder is dark and full of dust. I don't want to tinker with it so I'd like to get it serviced before I use it. Can anyone recommend me somewhere to take it? I live in south east London.

Thanks

Snowdog

The No 1 UK Rollei guy is Brian Mickleboro - his address is 6 Fairway, Bishops Stortford,
Herts, CM23 5LT, 'phone 01279 755862.

Great info - I'd been wondering what had happened to Brian.

The other guy is Ed Trzozka(? - I can never spell his name) of Euro Photographic Services in Leicester Tel: 0116 2674247
150 Harrowgate Dv, Birstall, Leicester LE4 3GP. Ed took over Les Frankham's work some years back, and also specialises in older Zeiss cameras. He often attends the Wolverhampton Camera Fair.

Brian has done an excellent job for me on one of my Rolleis a couple of years ago. If he can't help due to lack of spares whatever, try Paepke Fototechnik in Germany.
