I am partially red green colour blind but find it also affects my ability to assess tones.

For this reason when I am scanning negatives I only use PS to crop, level the horizon if the neg was not properly mounted and check the levels. Very rarely (if I feel like playing or I have a exposure problem but really want the picture)do I do anything else because of the risk of mucking up how the viewer will see the image.
