What? You don't think I've actually downloaded them yet do you?
So far so good though, lovely and sharp at c60mm and c100mm, some shots are extraordinarily sharp in fact. I'll have plenty to post (hopefully) when I come back from Edinburgh. It seems nicely balanced and seems like a worthwhile investment.

You don't wanna do that - you wanna make sure it's working properly before you go to Edinburgh and take 3.7 billion OOF snaps ...

You obviously haven't been paying close enough attention Ian, as thanks to my procrastination and the vagaries of Royal Mail I'll be having to be economical with my itchy shutter finger with only 6GB worth of CF cardsa as opposed to the 14Gb I was hoping for.

I'm presuming type 2, Bob, as long as you are careful and occasionally give yourself a treat of Toblerone and reduce some other equivalent carbohydrate intake you should be OK.

Nah, looks like I'll be uploading to a portable hard-drive between shoots. It just gets a little tight if I'm doing back to back gigs all night with no chance to upload between them and the D300 is a lot hungrier than the D70s.

Sorry to hear that Bawbee, being rather partial to chocolate myself I can sympathise with you. Hopefully you'll be able to have the odd treat now and then though.

Thanks for your concerns guys. It is type 2 Ron and, as far as I know, it's not as bad as type 1. I suppose getting older does not come without some parts failing and others wearing away.
The doctor told me the day before we left on holiday and I was good for two whole weeks - truly.
I am supposed to have read up some info at Diabetes UK but I'll do it at the weekend. I have to have my eyes scanned on Monday morning and see the doctor in the afternoon - a whole day off work (expensive thing this diabetes).

No type 2 isn't as bad as type 1 (insulin injections and diet), I'm presuming you're on tablets and a 'healthy eating' regime.

Sounds like a Retinopathy check, mines Monday afternoon!
The only benefit I can think of is that you'll never pay for another prescription (you need to get a prescription exemption certificate through your Doctor)
Yes there is some very good info at Diabetes UK (previously the BDA)

Not as yet, seeing the Doc on Monday PM and no doubt it'll be a bit of 'advice'.

Aye, that's the thing - I take care of the one good eye that I have, wouldn't want to lose the sight in that one. I've planned to take the day off because I'll probably get the drops to give max aperture.

They're soon to be 'free' up here anyway - prescriptions
I take it that you are a 'sufferer' too Ron?

I wouldn't call it a sufferer more adapter but, yes type 1 for over 45 years, so more injections than 'Hot Dinners' scenario approx 48,000 so far and counting
