Photographer/Help Wanted

Hi,
My name is Simon Plant and I'm a UK based Automotive and Location photographer.
I have been asked to do some free web videos regarding my work.Trouble is I'm not sure what would be of interest and someone simply said to get on the forums and ask a few people so here I am.
I'm often asked how I did this image etc so I was thinking of some short type video stories, a kind of walk through from pre planning to post production.
Any feedback would be welcome.
Regards.
Simon

Re: Photographer/Help Wanted

As always, you need to focus on "who is my intended audience?"

You said someone had approached you to do some videos - to what end? What are they hoping to see? Are they in the photography biz, hoping to catch some tips? Or are they an agency wanting to show it to potential clients? Need to know this really before going further.

Re: Photographer/Help Wanted

Hi,
Thanks for the tips.
It's a magazine who have asked who range from beginner's to intermediate in skill so I need to pitch at this level. At the end of the day I'm asking the impossible really as you can't please everyone!.
Cheers,
Simon

Looked at your site, some inspiring work there Simon. And you get to drive some nice cars! Great.

Given that you've lots of strong shots, I'd let that drive things - no sense in over complicating things. Start at the end and deconstruct - show a portfolio you came up with for a client then show how you built up those images, location slection, style etc but concentrating on the non-obvious tricks of the trade or the techniques unique to automotive/advertising market. Thats what I'd be interested in anyway. Keep it fast paced.... mmm... seems like you'll need to do several short videos to cover it all...
