Hi All, This should be a easy question. Just got a E-410 and new to photography. Want to know can any make lense go on my camera i.e Canon? |

There are some adaptors available, but these aren't a useful solution for most people as they compromise the system in one way or another. What I think you want to know is that there are 'third-party' lens manufacturers such as Sigma, who make lenses in various fittings, so that you can choose to buy the lens suitable for your particular camera. Edit: But Olympus is less well supported than, say Canon or Nikon, and this means that not all third-party lenses will be available to fit your camera - you'll need to check this out on a lens-by-lens basis. |

In addition, Leica and Panasonic also use the Olympus 4/3rds mount on their DSLRs, and I believe their lenses are compatible with the Olympus E-410. Indeed, I think there's a Panasonic / Zeis lens which is stabilised - about the only way of getting IS on the E-410. Expensive, mind! ![]() Also, I believe not all Sigma lenses are available in 4/3rds. |
