Hi all, this month mine is a complete cheat (as opposed to a bit of a cheat like last month ) as I haven't taken any photos since 4th Nov. So, I've had to go back to 20th Oct to find one that I can use. This is a location that I intend to go back to as I think I could get more out of it but was there with a friend so didn't have much time. One of the side pools around Clumber Park Lake in Nottinghamshire. My friend said 'Let's walk round the Lake - it's only a couple of miles.' Quite a few hours and about 6 miles later we got to here, near to where the car was parked. Lisa.

Nice one Lisa, I'll let you off the cheating since it's such a good pic! ![]() Like you, I haven't taken any pics last month so I'm going to post one I took on 1st December using the newly discovered RAW mode on my Casio accessed using a hack to get into a hidden service menu! ![]() It's a bit late (early?) to work on it now so you'll have to wait till (much) later!

Lovely picture Lisa, I know the tree well. In fact I am just off there now. Clumber Park is where I take the dog walking every day. Do you know the area by the ford? Its nice and shallow and earlyer this year I saw a 2 foot Carp just basking in the sun. Les |

Hi Lisa, I like it! Just think what you could do at dawn/dusk with the tree back lit, and if you`re lucky, a stunning coloured sky reflected in the water... By the way - I should get a better email connection from this week, so to post an image on this site do I simply import an image or paste a copied image?? Chris |

Hi Les, yes I go to Clumber Park quite often and I'm sure there are parts that I haven't seen! I also go to Rufford Park a lot as there are more birds. My mum used to live at Clumber as a child as her family were estate workers for a time. Lisa.

Hi Chris, yes I'll have to work out where the sun sets/rises and if I can get to that bit at the right time. As the estate is NT some parts are locked up at dusk to dawn - I wouldn't like to get locked in for the night! There is a post re 'posting images'. Best to have a look at that as I wouldn't like to tell you the wrong thing. I put all my stuff on flickr first and use links. Lisa.

OK, here it is... Taken at Derby station on Saturday using a hack that allows my camera to take RAW and Jpeg files simultaneously. This is the RAW file adjusted and converted using the free RawTherapee conversion program. I've posted this and another 2 pics showing the differences between the RAW and Jpeg files and adjusting in RawTherapee or Photoshop in the Appraisal Gallery

I think you've picked the best one Chris. It's a good pic too - they're not easy as I found out in Wales. How many different sorts of trains do you see? Lisa.

Don't see this type of train too often but I knew something unusual was due 'cause the lineside fences and bridges were lined with photographers on the trip into Derby. They had all gone by the time I was returning from Matlock so I doubt they were interested in my train!
