Colour bleach fix variations

Can anyone tell me, or give any suggestions what is the difference between Bleach fix used for film processing, and bleach fix used in RA4 printing?
According to a couple of suppliers (Nova and First Call) they are different, but cannot say in what way, but do say they cannot be used for either and must have a specific B/Fix.
