Hi on my 350 the lcd is small,i notice the latest models have bigger ones
are the bigger ones easier to view in bright light? or does the problem remain,i have tried one of those screens did'nt like it kept activting buttons on camera very frustrating

I have a 350D and have recently bought a 40D and still find I have to shield the screen when in sunlight. It's better, but not as we want it!

AFAIK, size isn't related to surface brightness ....

My compact has much bigger screen than my DSLRs and it's still tricky in very bright light. Of course when you can see it it's much better for reviewing pictures...
It'd be nice to have a bigger screen but it's not something I'd regard as essential - certainly not enough to make me go and buy a replacement camera just for that feature alone.

i agree, it was just that i have started looking at histogram recently,but when sun is out i just cant see it, and i have beeen to specsavers
