40D Button Pushing
|
|
Has anybody else noticed that, when carrying the powered up camera around your neck that there is a good possibility of operating the bottom row of buttons on the camera? I find myself regularly checking that I have not got an image/info/menu on the screen.

Wait until it's on 'standby' or switch off when carrying? I know it's good to be ready, but if it's worrying, switch-off.

When its on standby these buttons liven it up. Its how I always used to use my 350D and the only button to wake it up was the shutter button - altogether a much better idea I reckon.

Thanks Alan, I honestly didn't know that. I'll have to watch it, I thought it was only the shuuter button that 'awakened' the 40D.

I wonder if there is a 'fix' (Canon or non Canon) to get round this so that only the shutter button wakes it up?
