This months theme is " Clues to the season"
How do you know it is Winter?
Take a picture that demonstrates that winter is upon us. There are many ways of doing this, so you are not limited to any particular photographic genre. Think about how the world looks a certain way when it is bleedin’ cold outside.

1. PLEASE DO NOT POST IMAGES until you have read the Posting Images – Maximum Sizes etc sticky on this forum.
2. Images must not exceed 600 pixels x 600 pixels
3. File sizes must be under 100kb (102,400 bytes)
IMAGES THAT DON’T CONFORM TO THESE RULES WILL BE DELETED! Do not post TWICE in the comp - ask a moderator to correct or alter your original entry if you are having a problem.
4. Images must be embedded in this thread (click on reply in this post).
5. Images must have a suitable title in the subject line.
7. No links please! (Technical details should be kept to a minimum)
8. One entry only per person is allowed. If you need to change it, please contact a moderator with new URL and reason why.
If you want comments on your work, or you want to comment on other members work, please post in the Comments thread provided.

Hoar frost on wood grain on a fencepost, taken with a macro lens, turned through 90 degrees, cropped slightly to make the image thinner and converted to monochrome "for impact".

Hi first time using the manual settings in the Nikon D40x
It was a beautiful day very cold and extremely ICEY.
