Yes, an early vote for the castle at this point. A very nice shot indeed.

Re: Sep07 comments "Buildings and Achitecture"

Yeah it's not dust thankfully

They're House Martins actually - I guess they're a little difficult to see on the medium pic I linked up.

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1243/1231038710_6af186159f_b.jpg - larger pic

There are hundreds of them nesting there at the moment, and they fly around the grounds a foot off the grass at crazy speeds, trying to catch them is more luck I reckon: http://www.flickr.com/photos/martypg13/1230177865/

Coincidently, I used to go to school and even sit next to Miranda Leathan (now Rock) whom I think lives at the house. Her mum used to be an expert on The Antiques Road Show.

Cool.

If you've never been it's well worth a visit ( the Horse Trials have now finished so it's Range Rover free again ). It's a fantastic building.

I was waiting for my invite from Miranda, I can't believe she has forgotten about me already It must have only been about 25 years ago since we last met

Yes, tis a lovely building and grounds, but be careful of the horse poo

Nice picture Geoff. Ive been inside that buliding before whilst at uni.
Fantastic place to work, if you like gaming. It was great to walk around and see how games are developed from artboard through 3D modelling to the finshed article.

I think my entry is quite boring, but I like it. I seem reasonable at the "stock" or "record" shops but I don't seem any good at the "unusual" photos :-(

Re: Kirkstall Abbey File Size!

That file size is still too big I'm afraid - if you read the 'How to post Images etc' sticky, it explains how to put up the correct size in the first place to Flickr. How to find the correct URL See this visual (Note: you may need to expand it if your browser resizes images) - and how to check image and file sizes before and after posting - keep trying - you'll get there in the end

I like it, though it seems to have been quite a hazy day, I think it would look good in mono, it wouldn't be quite as noticable then.

Badgerman's shot of Brentor Church is so beautifully evocative of a Harry Davis (Royal Worcester artist) painting. Well done, Colin. You certainly have earned your stripes for that one - pun intended.
