Musical Passion

I've just witnessed a severe case of passion on TV. The Proms are on BBC2 at the moment and there is a cellist performing, and by God he is showing some outright and unadultered passion. Tremendous to watch, and to listen to also. Haven't caught his name yet. Edit = Paul Watkins - Excellent!!

Just and idea for some who are seeking inspiration for this month.

hi all. My pictures is not passion but it does depict true emotion. I was in the middle of a serious belt of depression. Brought on by glandular fever. I made my self get up and do a picture or two. It depicts the darkest thoughts of despair and hatred. Its how i felt. Any way, I'm totally on the mend and looking forward to being a full-time member of this forum.

My fav so far is Merlin Passion.

The brief states:

Quote:

This months theme is "Passion" Thanks to the circle of confusion
Garry says. "I think this can also be taken as emotion."

Passion is a deep or powerful emotion e.g. love, joy, hatred, or anger. Synonyms include fervour (great warmth and intensity of emotion), fire (burning intensity of feeling; ardor, enthusiasm), zeal (enthusiastic devotion to a cause, ideal, or goal and tireless diligence in its furtherance), ardor (strong enthusiasm or devotion)

Emotions include:
Acceptance, Agitation, Alarm, Amusement, Anger, Angst, Annoyance, Anticipation, Apprehension, Apathy, Awe, Bitterness, Boredom, Calmness, Comfort, Contentment, Confidence, Courage, Depression, Disappointment, Discontentment, Disgust, Desire, Delight, Elation or Euphoria, Embarrassment, Ennui, Envy, Ecstasy, Fear, Friendship, Frustration, Glee, Gladness, Gratitude, Grief, Guilt, Hate, Happiness, Homesickness, Honor, Hope, Horror, Humility, Impatience, Inadequacy, Irritability, Joy, Jealousy, Kindness, Loneliness, Love, Lust, Melancholy, Modesty, Nervousness, Negativity, Nostalgia, Pain, Patience, Peace, Phobia, Pity, Pride, Rage, Regret, Remorse, Resentment' Sadness, Schadenfreude, Self-pity, Shame, Shyness, Sorrow, Shock, Suffering, Surprise, Suspense, Terror, Unhappiness, Vulnerability, Worry, Yearning, Zest.

Sorry for throwing the dictionary at you, but the brief is, in effect - strong emotion, or just emotion. I think you'll find a lot of the entries are on target.

Yes I liked that one also Will although Ian asked me which I thought portrayed 'love' rather than 'passion' and I thought this to be too cliche for love and the one he went for imo just had the edge as there is something very tender and deep with her expression and I liked the mystery of not being able to see him.
