The first picture is good but please edit that little white dot on the blokes chin, it glares out at me

Love the effect on the second photo, wonder if it would work as well on other metallic objects.

Monks on a bike... perfect for any caption competition.

No idea what I could enter now, the standard is too high too early!

(Maybe I'll just take a picture of some 18% grey card)

Black is devoid of colour, that's why it's black On the otherhand, white is every colour I think that's what I understood from O-level physics.

I just had another look at the intro to this month's comp

I quote --
>This months theme is "Colour" as used in shop signs, Ad boards, banners, general environment ......<

I read this as implying the subjects should be man made objects, yet I notice a lot of natural items, mainly flowers, could we have some clarification.

Cheers MIKE

Yes there are many flowers but the idea of "Colour" with banners is that "Colour" draws one in.
This is the same with flowers. It "catches your eye"

Clarification

Quote:

When I made the suggestion I had in mind that images would be about man made subjects as well and was looking forward to seeing how people would interpret it. However, all the monthly competitions have a very wide remit so that everybody has a chance to enter.

In the end it's Garry who will decide whether or not the entries fit the theme.

That's exactly how I read it Mike but the term "general environment" leaves it open to wide interpretation and that is what Gary likes to see so I guess all those flowers do have a place
