Impressed with my results yesterday I went back today to have another go. I found that I was getting good results with my 400L fitted with an old Kenko 2x was really doing the business, this is the equivalent of 400 x 2 x 1.3 so equivalent of 1,040mm – these are all handheld, so no IS, I did have my old 550EX plus Lightsphere II on a bracket to give me a fighting chance – sorry to post so many, but these were only some of the best... Started with some Damsels... 1 2 3 Then I moved onto the dragonflies... 4 5 6 7 Finally a couple of Dragons in flight – now these were not easy!!! 8 9

marvelous shots! That lens works really well with the converter and those inflight ones much be harder to get than infight birds - great! Intersting to see that it appears thier rear wings beat faster than thier fore wings. Seems you are having loads of fun with that lens! |

You did have a good day John, some great shots there. No sign of them round here, we had them emerging (if that's the right word) on the iris in our pond last year, so I'm checking daily. |

Again excellent shots John. I bet the flight ones are really hard but have worked really well. Front on would be even better but you can't get everything ey. 7 is my favorite. Well done. |
