I'm on dial-up and it downloaded within the hour. I use FDM (free download) and it's excellent for this sort of thing - and for much bigger files which take longer than my 2 hour limit.

The contents of the book look good too! But, how good is in-camera stabilisation with a 300mm on the front? At least it looks as though Sony may put some competitive pressure on Canon and Nikon. (But just watch out for what Sony do to their batteries with their info-chips...)




I'm glad you managed the download so well over dial-up

Stabilisation works well with any lens I've used, 10mm to 400mm and everything in between. The camera knows what focal length lens is in use and sets the sensor stabilisation accordingly - I reckon on about 3 stops advantage.

The Info-Lithium batteries are great. One battery type (NP-FM500H) fits all the Alpha cameras and vertical grips, a100 to a700. They give an accurate read out in percentage of life remaining. Last for ages too
