The original line-up? The classic "Chase the Dragon" era line-up? The just-about-as-classic "On a Storyteller's Night" line-up or even the current post-2001 version of the band?

Tough one. Probably "On a Storyteller's Night" as that's the only Magnum record I possess. I did once have 'Marauder' and a double EP but they disapppeared years ago. Saw them on tour once in the very early '80s. A triple bill with The Tygers of Pan Tang (who???) and Def Leppard. I thought Magnum were the better band on the night.

They still rock - saw them last Thursday on their "Wings of Heaven 20th Anniversary Tour". Took me half the night to remember where I had seen them on the original tour, but it was Birmingham Odeon. Some things are much more civilised about rock gigs these days - the Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton had draught Marstons Dragon's Tale on...

Not entirely sure why, but I've seen them more than any other band. Which probably makes me totally sad, but I'm happy with it.
