It would be a shame in many ways if Fuji do pull out of the DSLR market but from a commercial point of view is there a strong reason to remain in it?

In some ways the S# Pro series are a bit of a "me too" product - made because they feel they should rather than a serious contender against the volume makers. Couple that to the the fact that they are essentially Nikons with modified internals and you have to doubt that they intend to put any major focus on developing their DSLR range...

Perhaps if the EXR technology really takes off in the compacts and proves to be everything Fuji claim they may decide to make an S6 with 30 million pixels...
