Hi I am hoping someone might be able to offer some advice.

I am thinking about entering some photos in an 'open' category at a local camera club exhibition in the near future that visitors can submit photos to as well.

But, what I would like to know, as I have never done this sort thing before, is the following:-

1) How many different photos do you think it is acceptable to submit?

2) How should the photos be presented? I assume an A4 print would be far more welcome than a 6x4!!
