I have been looking at the Fuji Superia 400, would this be a good recommendation for a beginner

You don't say what you're shooting.

For general stuff (outside, in reasonable light, not fast action) I'd far prefer ISO 100 film to ISO 400 film because of the finer grain and better colour rendition. If the light is poor and/or you need to capture fast action then ISO 400 (or faster) film is necessary.

Fuji Superia is OK if you want colour prints - Kodak Portra 160VC has more realistic (less punchy) colour rendition.

are there any other websites that offer cheap film other than 7dayshop.com?

Yes, lots, try the search facility on your browser.
