I bought one 10 days ago and have used it on holiday in the last week. It's my 2nd digital camera (apart from phone camera) and is excellent. I'm not a geek, but took a snap instantly without reading the handbook (once I'd charged it up), so it's dead easy with good defaults which you can change as you get familiar with it.
If you re-consider this, check out the SD card and case prices separately. I bought these, but afterwards thought they weren't that good a buy for the extra Ł30, partly as the case is bigger than the camera, so probably just a cheap one not designed for it.
I bought my previous digital camera from Curry's on this sort of offer 8 years ago, so am hoping this one will last as well!
