Quote: Hi John, If there had been some "ill effects" I would have sent it for a "warranty repair" describing the malfunction along with, of course, the stores sale receipt and waited for the item (or items ) tobe shipped back all tickety-boo or, in the worse case scenario, receive a "repair estimate" describing the repair costs along why it wouldn't be repaired under warranty Then, like yourself and most folks,I would contact the repair depot and tell them that the items, whilst being outside in the rain, it was a light rain and only for approximately 10 minutes and, IMO, something that this/these particular "weatherproofed item/s" should be able to withstand quite easily. And, FWIW, in all my years of shooting (22 this month and14 in retail) I have only sent one(1) item in for repair -- a Konica Hexar -- with was purchased used and then really used by me As a caveat, if I had tried to send any of my gear in for warranty repair ... generally, after the first six(6) to twelve(12) months even I had would have my doubts as to the possibility of the item(s) being repaired under warranty ... ![]() I hope this kind of answers your question ![]() Cheers, Jack |
