Usually, I mount the 'pretend' macro on the camera, take my pretend shots, print them out 'cropped' (iffing and butting all the way). The results are of publishable quality and the pictures can be entered in exhibitions or competitions where they're generally indistinguishable from any other method of achieving the same thing. All subject to my photographic skills, of course
