The E3 is better than my E1, but miles behind my OM4Ti. If anything, I would say that the E510 is marginally better than my E1, although I have only looked at it in a shop. Don't forget that almost any zoom lens will be slower than a good prime. Kit lenses in particular tend to be at least two stops dimmer than a 50 mm f1.4 prime. If you want a really, really good viewfinder, try a waist level finder on a medium format camera. You just have to get used to everything being the wrong way around.
