Re: Minolta 5000 with 35-70mm lens and 2000xi flash?

Hi all.

I have recently acquired this camera set up. I have no idea how good it is, but it looks to be working. ...

Also how do I check it works ok? Looks in excellent condition and I have put some batteries in there (without film) and the shutter works, as does the flash.

...

Check it out using a Colour print film, and get this processed. (Some Tescos will scan to CD for 97p extra, along with their standard processing. ) This will check whether the film rewind motor works. (My 7000 was fine apart from the rewind motor - cost me ~£55 to be fixed.)

If you're really keen, try it with a colour slide film. (Much less exposure tolerance, so a stiffer test.)
