Garry, thanks so much for your generous comments and judging it a winner in a competition with so many good shots. Happy to say how I got it. Taken from a wildlife hide as it came out of a copse using a Canon 400d with the Canon EF 400mm 1:4 DO + 1.4 extender. I've had the lens since the beginning of the year and am delighted with it. Took a bit of a risk given the mixed reviews the lens has had but all my wildlife photography is hand-held so portability the key factor.
