Looks good to me. I like the separation between the trees and the slanting light.
Light is not realy getting in where you need it, so colours are not glowing. The big expanse of green rather spoils the composition for me though....

Agree. With the doggie, the lighthouse is just an irrelevance. Build a platform a few yards out to the left to get the angle. ;)
I think disconnect is fine if it is just two people with a spatial divide. The problem is when there is three.
