F828 IR Conversion
      #659835 - 27/05/2008 14:17

I have an F828 that I am considering converting to permanent Infra Red. My question is where in the UK can I have this done? Any help appreciated!

You could try this bunch though they seem to be mostly talking about SLR conversions...

I know someone on another forum who had a Canon 10D done by them and he's very happy with it.

Hi,

It's probably easier and cheaper to get a used Sigma SD10 with a couple of lenses and remove the hotmirror/dust protector thing which you can do yourself with a screwdriver. Instant IR with no further conversions/filters, but you can add a IR filter if you want.

Thanks, I have tried ACS and like you say they will only look at SLR's.

Not sure if I have the confidence to do DIY. May just stick to the filters.

Thank very much
