That McNamara DVD bloke - any good??
      #577060 - 01/12/2007 20:55

Well, you've had two Garry McNamara DVDs now, so it's time to let us know what you think of them. Go to the home page to vote 'Yes' or 'No' to whether they are useful or not - and use this thread to suggest a few things you might like to see demonstrated.

And Garry - you can't vote on this one

Thanks again

damien

Well, I would vote but there's some poll about lens hoods on there at the mo..

I enjoyed both of them and I expect I'll get something out of them (never stop learning) - though my daughter got a bit 'fretful' at one point

I would vote if the server would stand still for more than 30 seconds!!

According to Fen someone has given it amphetamines so it's possibly having palpitations, which might explain the erratic service.

Fantastically useful - I mean what else can you scare birds with, use as a coaster, scrape ice (whoops) off windows with, use as a post operation collar for your lizard, a mirror with a special blind spot to hide your worst bit and, with Christmas coming up, they make great decorations.

Non subscribers even have a free case to put their favourite free DVD in - that'll be the Poseidon Adventure then.

I've already voted and it's definitely for the use of lens hoods at all times.

Has anyone found the deliberate mistake in the DVD yet?

I've not watched either yet. I'll maybe have a squint at them tomorrow.

I've only seen the first one, so no, not yet.

Yes I thought cutting all the scenes with Julliane Moore and Helen Mirren was a mistake too.

I've watched both and have really enjoyed them. ( I was a bit dubious about Garry "counting us in" at the start of the extra tutorials though )

I hope there are more planned for the future. IMHO, Garry's has been the most useful contribution to the "new" AP

I know I can't vote, but my A level students have been made fully aware of their most recently introduced assessment criteria.

And I still haven't seen it so I can't say if it's useful or not.
