Digital Composites

I've had a lot of fun mixing photographs together and adding things photographed or scanned for the purpose. Always possible in the darkroom, but now with Photoshop or other software it is possible to take the processes much further.

I hung the first few prints at an exhibition in Anglesey in April to May (together with the photography of Peter Clark aka 'parisian' and Jason Walker) Enough people made favourable noises for me to continue the processes and a goodly number are on display on my new website.

I have linked the site to alamy but I'm not sure of the commercial potential. But really the fun of doing it is the thing.

The fusion of images is a bit hit and miss, though you do start to get some pointers to what might work. Some ideas work better than others, and I have spent hours on some images only to bin them.

Anyway, it is fun, and here are some of the results:

IndigoMoods

Comments/Criticism/Thoughts most welcome.

I think you've got some wonderful images there - especially, for me, the Urban and Gothic ones. I don't think seeing shrunk, on-screen versions does them justice, but I'd happily spend time looking at them in an exhibition.

Excellent work Clive, congratulations. Like John, my favourites are the Urban and Gothic genres, absolutely stunning.

Thanks, John: I appreciate your comments. I have a vast array of 'urban' and 'gothic' images taken over the years which should supply me with workable material for a long time! I do take your point on the small images - certainly the few prints I took to Beaumaris presented them in a different way.

Thanks for looking and for your response, Dave, which I appreciate. I'm working on more dark and gritty ones at present and hope to add some more in a day or two.

Fantastic that you finally have them launched on a website Clive, if ever you exhibit in the South I'd love to see them in the flesh

Just stunning Clive - right up my street

They used to say old docs just fade away. But you keep hanging in there

So, it's just my pictures!

Thanks Tanya and Chris: good to have your feedback - the old doc's feeling slightly less old this morning!

Thanks, Dave, and thanks for your PM which has stimulated me into writing a methodology for the images as you will see in my reply.
