New to Photography
      #660050 - 27/05/2008 21:28

Hi,
My name is Darren, I am 30 years old and live in Birmingham England. I’m new to photography and have been doing it for around 2 Months now ever since I got my Panasonic FZ18 camera. I have become obsessed with photography and everything I look at I think that will make a good photo. I have never realised before how beautiful nature is and the world we live in it is so easy to take things for granted.
I have taken a lot of pictures over the last few weeks and have managed to get myself a blog with a selection on. It can be viewed here My Blog please feel free to leave comments good or bad to help me further my knowledge and skills.
I will be uploading more shortly.
Thanks
Darren

Hi Darren,

I've just been having a look at your blog. You have a really interesting range of photos there and the enthusiasm you have really comes through.

It's like when you give a child a camera (don't take offense to that...read on...) and they're not constrained by the "rules" of photography and just use enthusiasm to take the photographs.

I'm sure you'll admit though that your photos could be improved on with a few pointers from the people on here and a bit more experience...but it's a good place to start.

Thanks for your comments.
Any help on how I can improve will be greatly received. All the pictures I have taken so far have all been taken on the AI setting of my camera and except for the black and white images none have been edited. I plan to learn more about the settings on my camera and how best to use them. I'm not really a fan of making major changes to images but I am learning Photoshop so hopefully should be able to edit the pictures to a high standard.
Thanks keep the comments coming
Darren
