Thanks very much, Peter - some interesting reading, I just wish AP published an annual index. And thanks for the offer, Malcolm, as it happens I found an SQA system on fleabay, contacted the seller, decided he was genuine and so now all my problems about which way to jump are resolved.
SQA, 120 + 220 backs, speed grip, metering prism finder, 80/2.8 PS, 150S all in good nick with original boxes for £430 - seemed like a fair deal.

That sounds like a very good deal indeed. I got an SQA, 120 back, WLF, 40mm PS and 80mm PS for £700. It is in very good nick, however. Enjoy it, I certainly have enjoyed using mine - a slightly different feel to my 400D

I have a couple of Bronica 645 cameras, an ETRS and an ETRSi. They have great lenses and are well enough built, with the older camera the better in that regard.
Potential problems include light leaks around the dark slide aperture (easily solved with a length of electricians tape as a temporary fix, or new seals) and the dreaded shutter malfunction. Shutter failure manifests itself as a blank negative, possibly only one per film, and the failure frequency increases as the problem worsens. Cost of repair exceeds that of a replacement second hand lens. Make sure that you put a couple of films through soon after purchase to make sure you don't have a dud lens - and don't play with the mirror lock up etc which could confuse the issue.
This is not a uniquely Bronica failing, as I have heard of a Rollei owner with the same problem.
Make sure that you carry a spare battery of the correct type (silver oxide) as without battery you are effectively without camera. 
Don't forget to remove the dark slide, otherwise you will be thinking that the camera has seized up.
Despite these warnings it is a lovely piece of kit, and, used with the metering prism, is just like handling a rather large 35mm SLR, but the results are far superior.
