The Cotswolds
      #644168 - 17/04/2008 17:08

I'll be in the Cotswolds next week and i'm hoping to have a few photo sessions.

I know there are a million books and even more internet sites about the Cotswolds, but sometimes too much information can clog the thought process.

Can anyone recommend some nice landscape locations or recommend some nice pretty villages so I can narrow down my search area?

I'll be staying in the village of Sherbourne but willing to travel.

Cheers
John

Northleach, Cirencester, Broadway, Moreton-In-Marsh, The Slaughters.

That'll keep you busy.

Lots of Roman Villas in lovely locations too. Chedworth being one example.

The landscape around Winchcombe is very nice too.

All the above worth a visit. Also, off the top of my head (I lived and grew up around the Cotswolds), in no particular order...

Swinbrook
Chastleton
The Rollright Stones
Bourton on the Water
Chedworth (the village itself is very, very Cotswolds)
The Barringtons
Minster Lovell (look up the old minster)
If you go to Burford, find the church

I could go on - if you want the rolling hills though, it's the area between Stow-on-the-Wold and Cirencester and don't be afraid to turn off of the main road.
