Do what Fen (and others I know) do. Go yourself and save £189. Read this weeks AP (£2.15) and get tips on where to park and how to approach seals.

I'm paying £2.20 for mine David  but still a good bargain IMHO.
£189 seems one h..l of a lot of money.

I do not know about this course specifically, but I've seen the (sorts of) results in club competitions, etc: dozens of identical photographs, often lacking any individuality.
Possibly this course is a great 'experience', but for the same money you could almost have a week there (or elsewhere) ... especially if the tuition is not essential to you.
Sometimes the "tuition" on such photo courses can get in the way of the photography - and may depend on the average ability of the clients (some can be a veritable pain) as much as the ability of the course leader ... D-i-y is often not very difficult, nor much less rewarding, unless you particularly need the socialisation and inspriation, photographic wisdom and someone else to plan it all for you, etc ... .T.

Thanks for the replies.
Hopefully next November I will have moved across the river to Metheringham from East Yorkshire and Donna Nook will be a short drive away.
Will have plenty of time to visit.

I have visited Donna Nook on a thursday. the RAF fly in the morning and late at night. The seals dont mind and come up to the area of the rescue area about 3/4 miles south of the main car park. seeing the seals and watching the planes gave me enjoyment.
wait till the summer and the birdlife is good too.

Weekends and afternoons can get bad. I always get there in the early hours.
The RAF still do their bombing runs, just stop dropping bombs during this time!

I visited for the first time today - Saturday. Not sure how many car parks there are, but the one we parked in was virtually empty, admittedly we did arrived at about 3.30pm.
Walked straight east from carpark having spied what looked like a large group of seals through the binoculars, and found myself alone with hundreds of Seals...a truly strange situation to find myself in. They were very nervous of me, and me them!
