The place is just magic, every square and bridge and corner and building and boat and person . . . it's all just continuous magic.
You have to be digital though - you couldn't carry enough film.

Oh don't, I've wanted to go for a good couple of years now but never had the money, always had 'something else' to spend it on (this time its a new camera which would be needed to take the pics, the irony). Went when I was quite a bit younger and literally drooled my way round, same with Rome and Lake Como.

Have you been recently?

Nope, Nope, Nope, absolute rubbish, don't even think of wasting your time or money,

I can't tell you how disappointed you'll be, ( really.....I can't ! ) forget the very idea !

I have been to each Carnival since 2004 and I can tell you there's nothing to photograph

I'd like to tell you how rubbish it is ( I'd like to......... but............. well.....I could be lying through my teeth of course )

I have a few photos here www.lundfoto.co.uk
or here
http://richardlund.fotopic.net/ see Carnivale 2007 or any other collection !!

see what I mean ?, nothing, ziltch !!

You decide !

I'm going back in November, its a dirty job but someone has to do it!

LOL - Venice is a magical place, especially around carnival time. I've done two day trips for carnival so far - 2006 was a little overcast but the weather was glorious in 2007 but I was really ill. Ah well. Thinking about going again next Feb. Where are you staying? I'm looking for something cheap.

Yes, Venice is wonderful. I really love Burano. Well, actually, I love everything. Even the food!

Awful place - don't go. It stinks and is full of foreigners! And the photography is rubbish too.
