December, 2007 - FirstView Pictures
      #576792 - 01/12/2007 02:15

This thread is for posting of FirstView pictures for the 1st of December, 2007. Please read the main About FirstView thread, if you have not done so already. You may post only one image here, and it must have been taken on the 1st of December, 2007. Please remember to include the basic details - time and place of shooting, and what we're looking at. If you want to put in a short paragraph explaining what's going on, or why you chose that one, or whatever, then please do, but keep it brief and relevant. Any discussion beyond that can go in the 'Comments' thread. Please do not post comments or other replies here - they will be deleted. This thread is for FirstView image posting only.

The picture thread will remain open for a couple of days in the first instance, so please try to get your contributions in promptly. People who are perhaps away from home, or need time for film processing, or are otherwise unable to post their images in the initial time slot should pm me - I'll re-open the thread later in the month for late additions. In all cases please remember that the forum image posting rules apply (see POSTING IMAGES - MAXIMUM SIZES - Free progs - Tutorials...).

About 10 a.m. at St Andrews church, Ampthill, where there is a Christmas tree festival, in aid of charity, over the weekend. It was a beautiful morning and I have never seen the inside of the church better lit, but as I write this, the weather has changed totally, the rain is beating down and we are mewed up once more.

Xmas tree [Re: huwevans]

I spent a couple of days making a steel frame welded to a tractor wheel to support this monster. It was cut down and put in place on Wednesday but today was the first time I had seen it decorated.

Bike [Re: RichardK]
      #576974 - 01/12/2007 16:52

This is a part, not just of today but of most days during the winter. This is my bike set up on its turbo trainer so I can get a good cardio-vascular work out for 1/2 hour a day. Exercise is a good way of combatting depression. To prevent boredom I read a magazine for part of the time or until I start getting sweaty and breathless. I listen to music too. During spring, summer and autumn I go outside on the bike and cycle up in to the Downs.
