Thanks to Chris for sorting these threads out, and to TFC for the reminder - my internet access is a bit sporadic at the moment.

Hope you are having fun over in Japan. If you'd been on the streets a bit earlier, you'd have been run down by an armada of bicycles. Which part of Tokyo are you in, and what for - business, pleasure, cameras?

They're all standing behind Huw watching him take the photo.

They've never seen someone so tall handling such a tiny camera!

Any time, Chris - nothing would make me happier!
(Bread's nearly ready, and there's a starter too... Had no time to make pudding though).

I love Erm's idea of going on safari in Finchley.
Having posted my photo below, I saw Erm's comments and wondered..... was it really taken at 17:40-something? Mine was taken only about 20 minutes later and it was already pitch black, although Finchley cannot be more than 30 miles in a straight line from the Surrey-Hants borders.........

Takanawa, Minato-ku, and basically it's a holiday, plus visiting family. However, I work for my brother, and he's the one I'm visiting, so inevitably it's business too. :-)

Brilliant inexpensive public transport + lack of parking = no traffic. :-)

Well, apart from the bicycles Zou mentioned - and they ride on the pavement! :-)

Here's another Tokyo traffic scene - about 11am, this one, still on a week-day. When was the last time you saw a road like this in London, Birmingham, Manchester, or Glasgow looking so empty at mid-morning on a week-day? It's quite a culture shock, albeit a nice one. :-)

Have you hacked the A610 to give you RAW, as it doesn't come as standard?

Me too? Methinks Erm put her clocks forward at t'weekend rather than back.

Incidently, I travelled back from Germany on Sunday having already put the clocks back in the morning, then had to put the clocks back again in the afternoon when the plane landed! A 26 hour day!!

Hmmm I just grabbed the time from the EXIF... But no that'd be right because I have another 20 or so shots that I took in the next 15 minutes as I walked home and by the time I got back it was indeed pitch black.

This was one of the last, taken at 18:05 :

Yep, the light changes quick
I only walked about 200m in all that time
