Friday Morning from 10.30 am.
Whit walks through uppermill service in playing fields
each church processes with a Brass band.

Afternoon 4.00 onwards Saddleworth Band contest ... venues in all villages... over a 100 bands circulate. goes on till early hours in morning. much beer consumed and fast food.

Saturday... Beer walk in fancy dress starting Churchill playing fields Uppermill after lunch. last walkers return very late evening... if at all. walk covers most of the Saddleworth villages an most pubs.
