pink stain on prints

hi all,i did some prints yesterday and left overnight to dry. when i checked them this morning they had a very curious pink caste to them! could this be caused by exhausted fixer?or just not enough rinsing?i am baffled.i did more today and it didn't happen. all help welcome......regards june

Yes most likely to be either exhausted fixer or not left in the fixer for long enough.
Try leaving a small piece of unexposed printing paper out of the box for a while and that too will turn pink.

thank you john, living in co. kildare in ireland and in a bit of a vacuum here!!have replaced my fixer and all seems to be ok now, regards june

Just came back from a Half Term coach trip to Southern Ireland - stayed in Castleisland near Killarney - BLIMEY isn't it EXPENSIVE there in Ireland ! Ran out of euros - got financially embarassed and didn't see any camera shops!
