It's out now (in Japan at least, SRS say ETA is May). I've seen some shots on Flickr which look promising (bearing in mind it's a £200 lens) but have yet to find any proper reviews/sample images. Anyone else seen any?

Yes, I saw it in BIC Camera in Kyoto and Yodobashi in Osaka..at the end of March.
each time in closed cabinets although the DA* 200 and 300's were not...so I was able to play with the 300 on a K20D...lovely...

However given that it's day 1 of their new website, maybe their website/stock system integration is fibbing!

Just checked and the 55-300 is there with a "Stock Due Soon" wording at the bottom

Still can't find any official reviews yet, but there's one happy user's review over on PentaxForums.com
He's even included something for the benchists that frequent these forums 
Oh, and the DigitalDepot website say's they've got them in stock at the moment.
