That's not dust. It's a reflection of a stray eye-lash!


Anyway, we're certainly not talking billowing, as in the Johnny Canon case (below).

Do Nikons even have a dust reduction gimmick? I've not been paying attention

Yes, the latest ones do and the D60 has a novel system which utilises airflow in the chamber as the mirror mechanism moves about.

My D60 hasn't had a problem, only cleaned the sensor once in about 6 years. Oh sorry you're on about a Nikon imposter, not the original Canon version.
