Sigma 30mm f/1.4 goign in for repair/service

After I bought the E-510, I thought the fickle focus issue had been consigned to the bin, however, a recent shoot has shown that a good percentage of the images are out of focus.

A quick test shows it is slightly back focusing, so I contacted Sigma and they told me to send it it (under warranty). No argument fromt hem, or questioning of technicque/understanding of depth of field etc.

If the repair is as quick as the reply from customer service then I'll be very happy.
