D50 Problem
      26/07/2008 14:05

I have been using my d50 for around a month now with no problems. Although yesterday when taking a shot, it focused okay then when i pushed fully to take the shot the camera froze and turned its self off. The only way to get it back on was to take the battery out and put it back in again. Then on the top LCD pannel it showed the message "Err". In the manual it says "Err is a camera malfunction. Release shutter. If error persists or appears frequently consult with nikon-authorized service representitive." So i released the shutter and was okay for around 20-30 shots then it happened again. Although today its happening on every shot. Ive reset the camera, changed memory card / battery, re-seated the lens, but nothing seems to help. Also happens in manual mode with no lens attached, looks like the mirror gets stuck fully up. A web search showed alot of results but nothing with a fix. Anyone come across this problem before, or am i going to have to put it in for repair?
