D300 Remote release.

I've just replaced my D80 with a D300. Reading the operating manual it would seem that the ML-L3 infra red remote that I used with the D80 is not compatible - can anyone confirm this?

What would be the best replacement?

There's normally a detailed breakdown of compatible accessories at the back of most Nikon manuals. Whatever they list as compatible/recommended is what works...........

If Nikon say the ML-L3 doesn't work then it doesn't......

The ML-L3 won't work but the ML-3 will. Not a cheap option though. There are probably plenty of 3rd party equivalents available though.
