How to: Enable LiveView on 450D???
      #660871 - 30/05/2008 11:16

I know by default is is disabled, but can someone tell me what menu to go into to enable it (can't find it anywhere) and then which button switches it to LV?

Thanks

Don't know about the 450D but on the 40D "Live view function settings" is in the second tools menu, next to the bottom above "Flash control". Clearly you need to select this then change "Live View shoot." to "Enable" in the sub-menu.

With it enabled, the "Set" button in the middle of the big round dial on the back of the camera toggles live view on and off.

I believe that using Custom function 10 the live view can be set to be activated by the star(*) button...

put the mode dial into creative. press menu, find live view function settings (middle yellow) in there `enable` sorted

then all you do to get live view is to press the set button when in use with the creative functions
