You'll have to dig deep into your pockets if you want to buy this bumper blockbuster, at just over £100 it is the most expensive Magnum book so far. But wow! What a whopper, with 69 photographers showing more than 400 pictures spanning 60 years.

To make it more than just another book of fab-mag pictures, each photographer is represented by six examples of his or her work, chosen and critiqued by another Magnum member. There are biographies on the photographers and a history of the world's most famous photo agency.

So don't delay‚ beg, borrow or steal the whole family's book tokens this Christmas and buy what we consider the book of the year. You won't be disappointed.
