The British Touring Car Championship is the premier domestic motor racing series with 10 rounds in England and Scotland. There are 3 BTCC races per round, giving readers' ample opportunity to experiment with different vantage points.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CARTRIDGE WORLD TEAM AT THE BTCC IS NOW BACK ON THE TRACKS!

For the competition we want action shots of the Cartridge World race cars in the cut and thrust of the touring car races or shots of the drivers, who will be available to the public during the scheduled 'pit lane walkabout' race days at each round.

Readers entries will appear on the Gallery page on our website. Competition closes 09 October 2009. The winner will be announced in the magazine no later than 31 October 2009.

Terms and Conditions

Please note the following terms and conditions and email your best photos of Cartridge World Cars and Drivers at the BTCC events to apcw@ipcmedia.com

If you would like to receive emails from Amateur Photographer and IPC containing news, special offers and product and service information and take part in our magazine research, please write "yes email" on the email containing your photograph entry.

If you would like to subscribe to our newsletters in the future please write "yes newsletter" on the email containing the photograph entry.

RULES

Entrants may submit three photographs per BTCC round as a jpeg, preferably sRGB, at least 2,700 pixels along its longest dimension, an unmounted print (max size 210x297mm) or slide (no glass mounts please) in colour or black & white.

If submitting a digital file via email, the file name of your image must be your first and surnames, the subject line of your email message must state the round name and your name once again and the body copy of your email must include your name, postal address, daytime telephone number, the camera model, lens and exposure details.

Photos must not previously have been published in a national uk photography magazine.

This competition is open to bona fide amateur photographers and students only. That is, entrants should not earn more than 10% of their total annual income or £5,000 annually from photography.

Copyright of all entries remains with the photographer, but Amateur Photographer and Cartridge World reserve the right to use entries, without payment, to promote the competition.

Employees of IPC Media and Cartridge World, and their families, may not enter this competition.

Prizes are as stated and no cash or other alternative can be offered to the monthly prizes or overall prize. Cartridge World has the right to substitute the prize for a similar item of equal or higher value if the stated prize is not available. No money can be added to the overall prize.

The editor will choose a winner. The editor's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

By entering this competition you grant permission to Amateur Photographer and Cartridge World to reproduce your photos for display at an exhibition, and on the Amateur Photographer websites, should they be selected.

Competition closes 09 October 2009. Winner will be announced in Amateur Photographer magazine no later than 31.10.09.
